When camping out in nature, you quickly notice how important it is to have a good chair at camp. After a long day out in the forest, there's a big difference between sitting on the ground and being able to lean back in a comfortable camping chair.
During several of my trips I've therefore used a small folding aluminum camping chair that I ordered from Temu. It's easy to pack down, quick to set up and works really well as a seat at camp.
In this article I go through how the chair works in practice outdoors and how it works together with other gear I use, such as my hot tent from Temu – review after a cold night in the forest, my tent stove for hot tent camping and my small camping table I use at camp.
Quick facts about the camping chair Feature Information Product type Folding camping chair Material Aluminum frame and 600D fabric Weight approx. 1.1 kg Max load approx. 150 kg Packable Yes, comes with a storage bag Price range approx. 400 SEKWhat is this product
This is an ultralight folding camping chair built to be easy to transport and quick to set up at camp.
The chair consists of two main parts:
- an aluminum frame
- a durable fabric seat
The seat is made of a sturdy fabric material with mesh panels on the sides. This type of material is often used in outdoor gear since it's both durable and breathable.
The chair also comes with a storage bag, which means it can be packed down to a very compact size.
According to the product information, the chair weighs around 1.1 kg and can handle a load of up to around 150 kg, which is common for this type of ultralight camping chair.
That makes it a chair well suited for:
- camping
- fishing
- outdoor life
- picnics
- shorter trips in nature
How I tested the product
I've used the chair on several trips out in the forest, where it's mainly served as a comfortable seat at camp.
The chair is often used together with other gear at my camp, such as:
- tent stove
- camping table
- camping stove
Once camp is set up, the chair usually sits next to my small camping table, where I cook food or make coffee.
Assembly is very simple. The aluminum frame clicks together and the seat slides over the frame. Once you've done it once, it only takes a few seconds to set up the chair.
When you pack it up again, the whole chair fits in the small storage bag, which makes it easy to bring even on shorter trips.
Pros
There are several things that make this chair very practical at camp.
Light and compact
The chair weighs a little over a kilo and takes up very little space in your pack.
Quick to set up
Once you've learned how the frame clicks together, setting up the chair is very quick.
Comfortable seating position
The deep seat lets you sit fairly relaxed, which is nice when you're sitting by the fire or cooking for a long time.
Good ventilation
The mesh panels in the fabric let the chair breathe well in warm weather.
Stable construction
Even though the chair is light, the aluminum frame feels stable and handles normal use at camp without any problems.
Cons
There really aren't many downsides to this chair, but there are a few things to keep in mind.
Low seat height
Like many ultralight camping chairs, you sit fairly close to the ground. It can take a bit of time to get used to if you're used to higher chairs.
Not as rugged as large camping chairs
It's a light chair made to be portable. It's therefore not as sturdy as the larger camping chairs used at campsites.
Who the product is for
This chair is especially well suited for people who:
- camp in nature
- want a light chair in their pack
- spend a lot of time by the campfire
- want a comfortable seat at the tent camp
It also works really well together with other camp gear, such as a hot tent and a tent stove.
If you want to see how I use the chair at the same camp, you can also read my review of hot tent from Temu.

It's easy to pack down, quick to set up, and makes a big difference at camp when you want to sit comfortably with back support after a long day outdoors.
For such a compact and light option, it actually performs surprisingly well.
