Recipe:
A wilderness classic for truly slow-cooked campfire food
Cooking in a fire pit is one of the oldest and most effective ways to prepare larger dishes outdoors. This dish combines juicy chicken, root vegetables and a flavourful butter packet – slow-cooked with love straight in the ground.
Cooking:
- Spread the embers across the bottom of the pit.
- Lower in the foil package.
- Cover with soil/sand and then embers on top.
- Let it sit for about 3 hours.
Serving tips:
- Serve straight from the package with a rustic bread on the side. The smell when you open the package is pure wilderness magic.
